How would you like to organise an entire gourmet menu as a team?
But if on top of that, you get to choose your ingredients according to the dishes you’re going to organise when you go shopping, as well as the opportunity to design your table decoration and imagine the story of your virtual restaurant, the result is spectacular!
Thanks to its many different facets, this programme gives everyone the chance to express their talents in an original culinary event that’s sure to bring people together.
Assisted by one or more chefs, each brigade invents or reinvents succulent dishes based on a pre-selected theme (Asian, Tex-Mex, Lebanese, etc.).
Ideally carried out over a whole day, this team building programme starts with a general presentation of the objective, the process and the coaches (organisers and chefs).
The objective for the group, divided into brigades, is to define their cooking and restaurant style, organise a complete meal, present it to a jury and have them taste its contents.
There are 5 phases to this team-building activity:
Determining the cooking theme and restaurant concept, under the expert advice of the chefs (dish content) and the organisers (restaurant concept)
Purchasing seasonal and local ingredients in the shops
Organising the dishes, writing up the “Restaurant Story” and setting the table (decoration)
Presentation of the dishes and the restaurant concept (including the name and logo) by each team to the jury, with tasting by the jury, followed by the awarding of prizes (Grand Prix, Special Jury Prize, Best Starter, Best Main Course, Best Dessert, Prize for Originality, etc.).
Shared meal of the dishes organised. Any remaining meals are donated by us to the “secours populaire” for redistribution.
There is also a charity version of this team building programme.
The concept of this version is to organise meals for people in difficulty so that one of WE ACTEAM’s partner associations can distribute them on the day.
Initially, the brigades are given a closed list of ingredients that they can collect free of charge from a food shop.
The brigades are keen to organise tasty dishes using limited ingredients for people who are not used to being able to afford a good full meal… not forgetting to satisfy their own hunger!
We always aim for zero waste for our culinary team-building events.
In essence, this programme adapts to all types of participant profile. Even introverts who don’t know how to cook an egg or pasta will find something to their liking, as they can use their creativity to come up with the concept for the restaurant, for example.
What’s more, the expertise of our chefs and communications team is one of the secrets to the success of this team-building exercise.
Available in French or English, this team-building programme can also be offered to people who don’t know each other beforehand.
Last but not least, the activity takes place indoors, so it’s not affected by the weather.
