BLUE REGATTA
Outdoor
1/2 day or 1 full day
SOUTH REGION
10 to 800 people
Among the wide range of team-building activities we offer, regattas are a must for all WE ACTEAM team-building events. It’s hard to resist the temptation of a trip out to sea on top-of-the-range boats when you choose the French Riviera as the destination for your event.
This nautical challenge aboard 12 to 15 metre monohulls or catamarans allows you to unite your teams while offering them a unique moment on the Mediterranean. For groups of 20 or more, and up to 800 people, this nautical team-building event can be organised over half a day for a sporting version, or over a full day for a more leisurely version, with the race on the programme as well as a moment of relaxation in a little corner of paradise.
Before taking to the water, participants are given a compulsory stop for a briefing on sailing, safety and the regatta by a professional sailor.
Then it’s time to embark and set sail! This is followed by the allocation of roles on each boat, before the training session near the start line for all the boats! Each participant has an active role on his or her boat, with the skipper only there to ensure safety! For example, the “genoa, port sheet” position will have a different mission to that of “mainsail, traveller” etc…
A clever blend of incentive, relaxation and team-building, you can spice up this team-building event even further by adding a treasure hunt, lunch at anchor, sculling or a snorkelling session, for example.
Once back in port and beyond the results, everyone will have participated according to their tastes and abilities, and had a memorable time on the Big Blue!
As a committed creator, our role goes beyond simple coaching. We share a sustainable and transparent vision with all our customers, and the regatta is one of those team-building activities that are a lever for raising everyone’s awareness. Our professional skippers and qualified supervisors are on hand to ensure safety, provide entertainment and raise awareness of the need to protect flora and fauna, and in particular our marine eco-systems. We also calculate the engine consumption of the boats on each event, and then donate a double carbon offset to the Goodplanet Foundation, created in 2005 by photographer and film-maker Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose mission is to “place ecology at the heart of people’s consciences, and arouse the desire to take concrete action for the earth and its inhabitants”.
It’s a great way of raising participants’ awareness, while maintaining the activity’s upmarket feel.
