What could be more fun than acting?
Derived from theatre, improvisation is fun and spectacular. It requires very active participation and the application of qualities such as creativity, listening skills, team spirit, personal commitment and… a certain amount of courage!
In particular, it allows us to play down certain situations, to “step back” from past events, to make fun of some of our shortcomings, and in this way to gently “resolve” certain behaviours or facts in our lives with laughter and good humour!
For your group, the exercise is very unifying because it is based on a strong inter-activity fuelled by conviviality and develops both self-confidence and confidence in others.
A team-building solution with proven content and a fast pace
Adapted 20 years ago by WE ACTEAM from a theatrical scheme created in Quebec in the early 80s, this team-building solution has already proved its worth in many circumstances!
Checked-in to a room organised in the style of a “cabaret” or “café-theatre”, your group is invited by our master of ceremonies to…go out and do some warm-up exercises that are essential to the success of the activity!
Then, back in the room, participants are stunned to learn the aim of the activity.
The game consists of improvisation by teams of 5 to 7 players-improvisers and one or 2 acting coaches in the presence of a referee.
Each team draws a theme (1 theme per team) which may or may not relate to their professional experience.
Each team then organises its improvisation with its coach for 6 minutes, and performs for 4 minutes in front of the other “spectator” teams.
Each improvisation presented is marked by a jury made up of the participants… who refrain from voting for their team!
Whether there is a sequence of improvisations or, if there is only one coach, an alternation of improvisations with “mimed Pictionary” exercises, the rhythm of this team building solution is very dynamic!
At the end of the matches, the grand jury, made up of the referee and the acting coaches, awards the prizes (special jury prize, best actor, etc.).
A universal team-building solution
In essence, this programme adapts to all types of participant profile. Even introverts will find something to suit them, as they can use mime in the improvisations if they don’t want to use their voices. What’s more, the expertise of our acting coaches is one of the secrets to the success of this team-building exercise.
Available in French or English, this team-building programme can also be offered to people who don’t know each other beforehand.
The activity is carried out indoors, so it is not affected by the weather.
Finally, the themes can be chosen in advance from a list already drawn up, or tailored to a specific theme.
